Dolomite Mine Road in The Anza Borrego Desert

We had decided to check out the Dolomite mine Road in the Anza Borrego Desert and were at the turnoff from Highway A2 when we stopped to check the maps.  To the left was the road to the old Dolomite mine, and to the right was Mortero Canyon Road.  I noticed that I had previously laid out a route along Mortero Canyon on the large paper map of Anza Borrego State Park.  So we decided to head that direction instead, and would up at the former “Impossible Railroad.”  It was a great day with lots of interesting desert scenes mixed with the railroad track location.
